Preferred skills

As a volunteer mentor you could be supporting the mentee with various support needs such as claiming benefits, gaining employment, substance misuse, mental and physical wellbeing support and many other needs. We treat everyone as an individual and no two days are the same so being flexible, courteous and being a good listener are key attributes we look for in a volunteer mentor.

Experience gained

Helping people take that next step can be a challenge so in return for your time we will offer you comprehensive training and access to CGL’s training suite. We will also make sure you have a named Coordinator who you will have regular contact and supervision with and make sure you are supported throughout.
