Passionate about supporting community art?

Volunteers are needed to:
(a) Take part in team work and working independently to take charge of exhibits and to display art in the gallery.
(b) Assemble, evaluate, price, catalogue, label, curate, present and display art collections, including craft and digital media.
(c) Engage with artists, customers and visitors to the gallery and studios.
(d) Represent MFAA(TAY) at meetings.
(e) Assist to design, prepare and deliver presentations and posters promoting MFAA(TAY) activities, including social media.
(f) Deliver activities such as; art, life, portraiture, photograph and craft sessions; digital media, film and audio production; art critique and showcase sessions.
(g) Negotiate and complete sales, cash handling, book keeping, accepting work for display; take and make payments.
(h) Help maintain work place safety and housekeeping.

Experience gained

Volunteers will benefit from working as part of a team and from developing their own art practice, public relations, marketing, fundraising, curatorship, tutoring and administration skills.
