As an Admin Volunteer, you’ll support our team with everyday office tasks like answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, photocopying, and helping with events.

You’ll be part of a friendly team, meet new people, and contribute to the work we do with the community.
We are seeking volunteer support with:

• Greeting and assisting visitors
• Filing, photocopying, and data entry
• Office administration such as preparing and distributing mailings, leaflets, training materials and group resources.
• Answering and re-directing phone calls in a professional and efficient way.
• Updating notice boards and creating wall displays, for special events and festivals.
• Ensuring rooms are kept clean, tidy and safe for the use of members of the public, visitors to the centre including children, young people and families.
• Adhering to NSDT’s policies and procedures at all times, including: Safeguarding; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Health & Safety; Data Protection; Confidentiality; Recording policies and procedures.
• Participating fully in training and supervision.

Pre-agreed expenses will be reimbursed.

Organisation description

Brasshouse Community Centre, managed by North Smethwick Development Trust, is a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive hub at the heart of the community. We offer a wide range of services including health and wellbeing activities, employment and skills support through Job Club, ESOL classes, social and fun activities as well as opportunities for volunteering and community engagement. The centre also provides venue hire for events, a café and catering service.
