This is an opportunity to get involved with our large museum collection. Objects and documents have been collected at the historic City Road Hospital from its origins as Dudley Workhouse through to modern day. You could be involved in the vital work to preserve this amazing collection by helping to photograph, number, and pack each piece.
Pre-agreed expenses will be reimbursed.
To enhance the experience of everyone using our hospitals and healthcare services. Our vision is to have improved life chances and better health outcomes in our communities and care systems.

Please contact us to discuss any access requirements
No previous experience needed, and guidance and/or training will be given where required. If you have experience of photography, data entry, or handling precious objects these skills would be most welcome! But we are looking to involve anyone interested in the heritage of our Hospital and Healthcare.
Our volunteers will gain an understanding of medical history and the social history of the area. They will experience the requirements of a museum catalogue system and get hands-on experience with a fascinating ethnographic collection.
