We would like you to be available at least an afternoon a week for a whole year during term-time, and as we invest in your training we’d appreciate it if you could stay longer. The role isn’t about listening to children read, but creating a relaxed session that allows children to work alongside you to discover the joy of books.

Digital Champions make a huge difference in people’s lives and the community. Digital Champions are not expected to be IT experts, but they do have a basic understanding of how to stay safe online and are comfortable working with people to help them with learning basic online skills.

We are looking for volunteers to help support/run our four sections: Squirrels aged 4-6; Beavers 6-8; Cubs 8-10 and Scouts 10 -14. You will help with planning and organising activities and games. Sessions can last between 1 hour for our youngest section to 2 hours for our older ones. You will need to do some easy, free, basic mandatory training to start you off in safeguarding/safety and GDPR.
