The Sandwell Inclusive Choir welcomes people of all abilities and their families/ primary carers. The choir celebrates that everyone has their own way of sharing their voice. We are looking to recruit volunteers to join our supportive, friendly and creative team, dedicated to having fun, empowering others and creating a musical community without barriers. Music abilities are desired but not necessary, we welcome anyone who fits with our vision and wants to develop their inclusive music making skills - training and support can be provided. Roles include: Face-to-Face: • Admin - Welcoming people, signing them in check DBS • Setup/ Pack down (e.g. chairs/ tables and musical equipment) • Co-leading - inclusive vocal and multi-sensory music warmups, activities and/ or songs • 1:1 support - Often with PMLD members supporting musical engagement in multi-sensory ways and often using music tech (e.g. iPads and apps such as ThumbJam) • Refreshments Team - Offering tea, coffee and cakes at the end to choir members • General Participation – Joining in with activities (this can include singing or instrument playing) and sharing your enthusiasm and warmth, welcoming energy Online: • Admin – Name changing on Zoom, muting/ unmuting, • Co-leading – inclusive vocal and multi-sensory music warmups, activities and/ or songs • General Participation – Joining in with activities and sharing your enthusiasm and warmth, welcoming energy.

Kaleidoscope Community Befrienders are local people who work on a voluntary basis to promote the health and wellbeing of local people and help them access local services. Some are bilingual and all reflect the diversity of the local population. Community Befrienders behave in a professional manner; both as representatives of KPG and in abiding by the policies and procedures of the charity. We believe better connected communities are stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. People who are well connected in good networks of social relationships live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

The role of Kaleidoscope's Self Harm Group Facilitator volunteer is to provide a proactive and timely community-based monthly meeting to help individuals, families, groups, or communities who have experienced self-harm. Signposting, overseeing, and maintaining links to relevant organisations, groups, and services for counselling. Offer and provide a sensitive, compassionate, and needs-led service to individuals, families, groups, or communities affected by self-harm.

Attend Charity collection days to help raise vital funds - tasks at each event will vary from carrying a collection bucket, selling raffle tickets or merchandise, looking after a stall, handing out flyers, selling refreshments etc. We contact you as and when events come up to check your availability.

Then get involved and join us at the Coffin Works! We are recruiting Room Enablers, central to the delivery of our excellent visitor experience and the running of the visitor attraction. Room Enablers have a vital role to play in bringing the Coffin Works Museum to life, inspiring visitors and helping them learn more about the history of our factory in an interesting and enjoyable way. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors into each room of the museum, sharing the stories and history of the building, directing them around, answering any questions and generally being a friendly point of contact. There are opportunities to build up into Tour Guiding and help with Front of House and collection conservation as well.

If you’re a friendly person and feel confident dealing with cash and general enquiries, then this role is for you. Till training will be provided. There are opportunities to get involved with Room Enabling and collection conservation as well.

Can you share your craft skills with people with a learning disability? We have a regular craft group that meets at Kings Community Church, Brandhall and we also organise an Easter and Christmas crafting event for members. We are looking for people with craft skills to come along and assist with the regular group and organise one-off activities. Jigsaw has a small budget to pay for craft materials and equipment needed. As far as possible we encourage the use of recycled and sustainable materials.

Curry club is a regular Jigsaw activity, where members and volunteers pay for their own food and drink. A small group of us go to a local Balti house for a weekday evening meal about once a month. We are looking for volunteers to join us to help support members with learning disabilities with ordering their food, have a catch up and settling the bill at the end of the evening.
